After watching Walker Villas grow from conception to a thriving community, Barb and Le finally made the move to their new home in Walker Villas. Both had large custom-built and designed homes, and after getting married, were ready to right size and live their “golden years” together. Congrats on your marriage and welcome home!
"We’ve been here a little over a month now!", says Barb.
I’d been looking at these homes since they broke ground on them. I had been on City Council and the Planning Commission, so I watched them from the beginning concept to now. I loved the concept of them from their inception. They are well laid out, they are well situated to town, it’s easy to get to Columbus, the layout is very good with just enough room for us, and there’s no exterior upkeep. We just got married and are both coming from large homes with big yards, blending 2 homes together to downsize into one. We’re so glad we made this decision.
I know a few of the neighbors and am looking forward to getting to know them better. We travel and love the idea that the exterior maintenance of the home is always taken care of. It’s so much easier to leave and come back to our home now.
It was very good. We bought one of the model homes. My only complaint was it took longer to close on it than we wanted. We closed right before we got married and I would have loved for it to close before that, but everything wasn’t ready. We changed the countertops and painted the walls a different color. Tim and Steve (one of the builders and the contractor) are very hands-on and have taken care of anything we needed, from the walk-through to any issues that have come up during this move-in period. They have been amazing.
There are so many aspects of this home that we love – the layout, the storage, the ample-sized bedrooms, and the master bath is nice, large, well planned out, and easy for two people to navigate. We are going to use the bonus room as an office (we are having bookcases built) and occasionally it will pinch hit as an extra bedroom (with an air mattress).
Don’t hesitate, do it! There is nothing else this nice or as well laid out anywhere in the Marysville area. It’s very easy to live here.
