Pumpkins and Apples, Oh My!

Fall is pumpkin and apple time and there are many farms and orchards in the area to pick your own (no matter your age!) or just go buy them in a local market. Take your kids or grandkids to those that offer activities for the whole family or invite a friend for a day trip. Check out these websites for more information.

Barn-N-Bunk Farm Market – step back in time and enjoy all of the delightful fall activities and pumpkins.

Garver Family Farm – pumpkins and sunflowers abound along the pathway at this farm.

Brown’s Family Farm Market - features a Halloween themed hayride, pumpkins, and family fun!

Butterfields Farm Market – pumpkins galore and well as apple cider, Amish treats, and caramel apples. Yum!

Station Road Farm – one-stop shop-pumpkins, mums, gourds and more.

Burwinkel Farms – a fall paradise featuring corn mazes, hayrides, sunflowers, produce, and other treats.

Niederman Family Farm head out for their seasonal Fall Festival and enjoy hayrides, the corn maze, a jumping pillow, ball zones, and other family activities! Devour delicious fall treats, pick pumpkins, and more. There’s also a Fall Tour available.

Hidden Valley Orchards – the place for apple picking. Check their website for apple picking info as well as to learn more about their fall events.

Irons Fruit Farm – a fun place to pick apples. Take a tractor ride out to the field and get busy picking.

Take a walk, a balloon ride, a bike trip-the possibilities are endless this time of year.

Don’t miss the Oktoberfest Zinzinnati on Sept 20-22. This is one of the biggest and most popular events in Cincinnati!

The Liberty Township Fall Festival is September 28th. There’s fun for everyone at this family-friendly event.

Do you love sunflowers? The Gorman Heritage Farm is having their annual Sunflower Festival on October 5th& 6th. Music, hayrides, pumpkins, craft vendors, food trucks, MadTree Beer Garden, and of course, sunflowers!

Have you ever attended the Pyramid Hill Art Fair? 70 artists will be featured during the Sept. 28-29 weekend for this showcase event. As a bonus, you can visit the sculpture park and outdoor museum.

A great local event is the Country Applefest in Lebanon. This year’s event is Sept. 28 & 29. Crafts from local vendors, food, and entertainment. Fun for everyone!

Yellow Springs isn’t that far away and the Fall Farm Pumpkin Festival at Young's Dairy Farm sounds like a great time! Oh, and try out the Pumpkin Cinnamon Sugar Donut Holes-delicious!
