Living in Liberty Grand - Meet John and Lisa!

March 12, 2019

Name: John and Lisa Guliano

How long have you lived in Liberty Grand?

We have lived here since December 2017, but we have been aware of the community since 2014. We looked at Four Bridges first and bought a condo there that had a downstairs and upstairs but it really didn’t address our needs as we had thought it would. So we sold it after 2 years and built in Liberty Grand. The lifestyle at Liberty Grand was what we wanted and needed. We built the Villa with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and the sunroom. We didn’t build the upstairs, but we did build the extended gourmet kitchen and the pocket library/office with all the built-ins. It is about 1800 sqft, which is perfect for us.

What do you love most about living in Liberty Grand and why?

We love the way the community is laid out. There is a certain privacy to it and it is comfortable. Completing the community is a nice mixture of people. Everyone is friendly and really care about each other and what goes on. We love having no steps going into the garage and the soaring ceilings in the home. All of the above is enhanced by the newness of the community and the quality construction of our home.

How was your experience building in Liberty Grand?

It was a good experience and as with any new build, there is the stated completion and the actual completion date. We were supposed to be in it in October but didn’t get in until December. It was worth the wait though because they did it the way we wanted. It was a big investment for us so it was nice to know it was exactly as it should be. We didn’t mind the wait because they kept us appraised at every level with what was happening. John Vance, the superintendent, always kept in touch with us even if he couldn’t tell us anything new or different. We appreciated that and always knowing the progress of our home.

What is your favorite aspect of your home and why?

We really like the great room concept. My wife and I enjoy the openness of it, the gourmet kitchen, and the pocket library/office with the doors. The office is a very efficient space and perfect for me. The home has everything we need. My wife loves the extended gourmet kitchen. It is so easy to entertain in the home.

We are in the sandwich generation with millennial kids and aging parents. My wife’s mom has some medical issues that preclude her from using steps, which made it impossible for her to visit us in our previous home. But this house allows her to visit and even stay with us due to the zero entry. The home is completely accessible for everyone. With aging parents, this is a true blessing for us to be able to have them visit and stay with us!

What advice would you give someone planning to move to Liberty Grand?

It is an excellent community to be in. Anyone searching should allow themselves to take time to think about what they want in a new home, examine all of the floorplans, rely on the expertise of the builder, and ask for what they want. It is easy for the builder at Liberty Grand to customize and put in what you desire. It is interesting that many of the features offered are excellent standard features (like granite countertops) that are above the ordinary. Some of the upgrades are definitely worth it too and are reasonably priced.

Liberty Grand provides us with a great lifestyle!
